What is Camp LOLO?

  • Camp LOLO is a two-day camp for children and teens who are grieving the death of someone close to them. LOLO stands for loss of a loved one. Camp is comprised of fun-filled camp activities paired with grief support therapy to help children and teens cope with loss.

 

Who can attend?

  • The camp is open to anyone ages 6 to 17 who has experienced the death of a family member or someone close to them. For campers who attended last year, we will accept again under the recommendation of a professional due to having the same curriculum each year. We will prioritize new campers first and returning campers will be put on a waiting list. 

 

When is it?

  • Camp LOLO’s annual camp will be held Friday, June 14th and Saturday, June 15th at Coolwater Creek in Meridian, Idaho.

 

How much does Camp LOLO cost?

  • Camp LOLO is free to all campers. It is made possible by the generous support of local business, community organizations, and wonderful volunteers who make it possible to provide this service at no cost to bereaved families.

 

How do I apply for my child to attend Camp LOLO?

  • Potential campers will be required to fill out an application form containing personal, bereavement, and medical information. Applications can be found on our applications tab or Click here

 

How do I apply to volunteer at Camp LOLO?

  • Potential volunteers will be required to fill out an application detailing relevant previous experience, medical information, and approval of a background check. The volunteer applying must be at least 18 years of age, and is responsible for paying a $25 background check fee. Applications can be found on our applications tab or Click here
